Since November 2023, our clients have been introduced to Maxime and his incredible story. At just 7 weeks old, Maxime was on the verge of death due to an infection of tickbite fever and parvovirus. Thankfully, Hoedspruit Animal Outreach took Maxime under its wing and did everything possible to cure him. From the very first moment, I was touched by his black face and decided to adopt this almost lifeless creature. Against all odds, he fought bravely and recovered completely. Maxime happily greets our guests and is already a mischievous 7-month-old puppy, fully assimilated as a worthy member of the Casart family.

Who is HALO (Hoedspruit Animal Outreach)

Hoedspruit Animal Outreach is committed to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of domestic animals in the rural communities surrounding Hoedspruit.

What are they doing ?

Our team of volunteers visit four communities each month and offer free veterinary care and education on animal welfare. As there are no veterinary facilities in any of the communities, people and dogs rely solely on HALO.
